RINA-S’s contribution in Work Package 4!

T4.1 LLs Detailed Planning and KPIs – Support and Learning Activities: RINA-S has played a key role in supporting regulatory and classification aspects within the project. They have participated in progress meetings and undertaken a detailed review of the IMO parameters highlighted in deliverable D4.1. This includes an in-depth analysis of IMO Resolution MEPC.365(79), which is crucial for the Survey and Certification of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). Additionally, RINA-S has examined the IMO regulations related to the calculation of the attained Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and the commencement of data collection for the annual operational Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) and its rating. RINA-S is actively contributing to the next iteration of the deliverable.

T4.6 LL5 Extended Industry LL: RINA-S is focusing on the practical application of the project’s results. They are considering ways to engage additional stakeholders, including shipping companies, technology providers, and shipyards, to validate the outcomes of the Living Lab (LL). This effort aims to ensure that the project’s results are comprehensive and applicable across the industry.

RINA-S’s contributions are essential for maintaining regulatory alignment and enhancing the project’s industry relevance and validation.
