A short introduction of partner INLECOM, why do they participate in DT4GS and why is DT4GS important for INLECOM. What problems will DT4GS address and which results DT4GS wants to achieve.

The consortium coordinator INLECOM Group, Belgium, was established in 1996 with the seminal charter of promoting innovative Information and Communication Solutions in shipping. Today, INLECOM are an established leader in Digital Ecosystem Platforms & Technologies in domains such as ICT, Security and Sustainability, IoT, Cognitive Computing, Analytics, Big Data, Mobile Computing and Transport & Logistics, Smart Cities, and Energy. INLECOM is currently coordinating or serving as technical managers for seven EU projects delivering DTs in transport, ICT and Green deal topics, while it has also extensive experience on developments associated with dataspaces and the key challenges of data sharing value, interoperability, trust and governance.

Apart from its coordination and technical management role in DT4GS, INLECOM intends to enhance its reputation as research leader in shipping and transport digitalisation, supporting the transition to green shipping. Additionally, synergies with projects applying digital twins for green corridors, smart cities etc. will be established. Finally, through DT4GS, the company aims to assist the project partners into filing patents, directly intersecting their efforts towards internal commercial roadmaps and their associated decarbonisation advancements in the project, in turn giving the project’s partners both a reputational and competitive advantage on a world-wide stage.

DT4GS has received funding from the Horizon Europe framework programme under Grant Agreement No 101056799.
